Had such a good trek with Sawmmy as our guide, we did the 2 days trek and 1 night homestay. The whole trip was amazing. Sawmmy was full of knowledge of all the local villages, wildlife and crops which we really enjoyed learning about. The trek itself wasn’t too hard which was nice considering the heat and could easily be done in trainers. Our homestay had really good, hearty food and we slept comfortably too. Would highly recommend this tour company based in Hsipaw to everyone! Such a good way to experience the beauty of Myanmar and get out of the cities. Great for friends backpacking as well as families too. Thank you so much- we had an incredible time!

One of the highlight of our trip in Myanmar. Really happy to choose this family agency to do it. We did a three days trek with the guide Somy and two other people (5 in total). Somy did everything he could to make us feel good (we walk in the jungle in the afternoon because it was really hot, we could choose between different ways, he lets us take a shower when we came back because we took the bus directly after the trek). He’s really open to share his knowledges about the country, the peoples, the language and this region. Within the day you have several stops to have a drink, eat some fruits, lunch in the villages you cross. You stop in warm and welcome home stays for the night where they prepare really good food!! The landscapes were amazing so were the villages and its people. Great discoveries, good atmosphere, really recommend it.

We had a wonderful time with Firefly, the owners are incredibly friendly, kind and knowledgable of the local area. The route that was recommended to us was diverse and fascinating, with a great mix of nature, local culture and a bit of history. Our guide was also fun, knowledgable and friendly. Would definitely recommend and if I ever get back to Hsipaw, I will certainly go on another trek.

We booked option 3 with our excellent guide Nepai. Mitch (owner) drove us to the starting point by car (if you choose option 4 as two day trip you walk this distance).
Then we walked 3 1/2 hours through rice fields and Forrest to the paulaung village where we had (good) lunch. After a chill, we headed back on another trek which turned out a bit longer. In total we were on the road by walk from 9:30 until 18:00.
We’ve seen a lot and the time flied by while talking with Nepai about all the things of Myanmar, his tribe (Paulaung) and many other topics.

Highly recommended!

Mitch is an amazing guide; smart, knowledgeable, funny, and his English is excellent. The fees are a bit higher than some of the other companies in Hsipaw, but there is a good reason: quality of service.

We went on a 2-day/1-night trip, staying in a village. The views were stunning and Mitch gave us a running narrative on the regions history, politics, economy, ecodiversity, cultural practices, and the broader changes occurring in Myanmar. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and in detail. His in depth knowledge of the local communities (ask him how many languages and dialects he speaks, its astounding) and culture opened a door that would otherwise have been closed to us. He is a consummate professional who is very considerate of his clients, whilst also be aware of minimizing potential negative impacts of his business.

Would thoroughly recommend, and if we ever go back to Myanmar we will hopefully go on an extended multi-day trip deeper in to Shan State.
